MBS School of Planning and Architecture, Dwarka , New Delhi celebrated the vibrant spirit of the auspicious Navratri Festival by organizing an exquisite Dandiya event for students and faculty, within the college premises. The  mesmerizing celebration was infused  with exuberant dances, joyful laughter, and heartwarming togetherness of all present during the cheerful celebration!

A visit to the under-construction site of the Head Office building for Petronet LNG at Dwarka Sector-14, New Delhi was organized for 3rd-year B.Arch. students, accompanied by course faculty members, Prof. DL Srivastava and Ar. Deepak Kumar. The intent of the site visit was to see the latest building techniques consisting of steel composite structure with RCC. In addition, the ongoing site offered a good opportunity for basement study along with composite structure. Students were able to explore the building material as well as construction details used on the site that includes inclined steel columns, fly ash bricks, steel joinery, fixed supports, hinged supports, to name a few. Also, building components of the basement like basement ramps, sump, shafts, STP, Pump room and similar were studied by the students. Overall experience was enriching for students, as shared by them after returning back to college.

4th Year B.Arch. students of MBS School of Planning and Architecture visited the Centre for Science & Environment (CSE) Campus at Tughlakabad Institutional Area in New Delhi, under the guidance of their faculty members Prof. Bandana Jain and Ar. Divesh Wadhwa. The
CSE Campus at Tughlakabad, designed by Legendary Architect Late Sir B.V. Doshi’s Firm is a unique example of sustainable design and construction. This visit enhanced the knowledge of the students as they were able to see some of the notable features of the campus including the Wastewater Treatment System, Solar Panels on Space Frame and Rainwater Harvesting System. Also, students made note of the landscape of external spaces with courtyards and verandas, provision for natural light & natural ventilation of building spaces and shading devices to tap glare free daylight for interiors and thermal comfort along with materials used on the façade and play of terraces in the Building Elevation. The site visit was an enlightening experience for all students, the budding professionals.

The classes for the 1st year students will commence w.e.f. 4th October 2023. As such all the 1st year students are required to report to the college on 4th October 2023 at 9:30 AM. Wishing all the students a happy beginning.
